Cantonese-English Medical Interpreter (OPI/VRI)

LanguageBridge Solutions is expanding our Cantonese-English interpreting team. We support healthcare, legal, education, and social services clients across the U.S. and Europe, using our proprietary HIPAA-compliant Interpreter Management System.

We’re hiring both experienced interpreters and bilingual Cantonese-English speakers looking to start a professional interpreting career.

What You’ll Do

• Interpret Cantonese ↔ English for OPI (phone) and VRI (video) calls
• Support conversations in medical, legal, educational, and community settings
• Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance
• Work remotely using our secure call system

Who Can Apply

Experienced Interpreters

• Prior OPI/VRI experience (medical preferred)
• Certifications (CCHI, ATA, NBCMI) are a plus
• Access to higher-tier assignments

No Experience? No Problem.

• Must be fluent in Cantonese and English (C1+)
• 3-week paid training program included

Requirements

• Native/ advanced Cantonese + advanced English (C1+)
• Stable high-speed internet (LAN preferred)
• Laptop/PC: Intel i5 10th gen+, 8 GB RAM, 1080p webcam
• Quiet workspace, USB headset, neutral grey background
