Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Android Software Engineer to join our mobile development team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving our Android applications, working with a talented team of engineers and product managers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using modern development practices
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Write clean, maintainable code following Android best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Implement new features and optimize existing features for performance and user experience
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in production and test environments
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and infrastructure

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and development tools
• Knowledge of REST APIs and integration with backend services
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture)
• Experience with testing frameworks and writing unit tests
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Jetpack libraries and modern Android development tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Experience with app performance optimization and profiling tools
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Open source contributions or a GitHub portfolio
• Experience with Firebase or other backend-as-a-service platforms
