About the Role
GoHighLevel (GHL) is the CRM backbone of every new client onboarded to the platform. This role exists because GHL is too complex for generalists and too critical to get wrong. You will own the CRM setup process end-to-end: building accounts, configuring workflows, handling compliance, quality assurance, and ensuring every client launches on a foundation that actually functions.
What You'll Do
CRM Setup and Configuration
- Build and configure GHL sub-accounts for new clients from scratch, using standardized templates and SOPs
- Set up pipelines, stages, contact properties, automation triggers, and internal notification workflows
- Tailor each client's account to their specific business: service types, lead capture flows, follow-up sequences, and staff notification logic
- Set up and verify triggers, workflows, and automations for accurate functionality before handoff
- Manage sub-account structure for multi-location clients and ensure clean account separation
A2P Compliance
- Register every new client for A2P 10DLC messaging compliance before any SMS campaigns go live
- Own the full brand and campaign registration process through GHL, including carrier submissions and status monitoring
- Handle rejections by diagnosing the reason, correcting the submission, and resubmitting proactively
- Stay current on evolving carrier rules and flag changes that could affect the standard registration process
Quality and Accuracy
- QA your own work against a defined checklist before every handoff
- Document issues clearly in tickets and flag anything outside standard scope
- Follow SOPs consistently and raise gaps or outdated steps when found
- Ensure every setup meets the checklist before moving forward
Platform Expertise
- Stay current on GHL product releases, policy changes, and UI updates
- Test GHL updates in a sandbox environment before they touch live client accounts
- Serve as the internal GHL resource for team questions and issues
- Identify patterns in recurring setup issues and bring forward SOP improvements
- Flag outdated SOPs due to GHL releases, UI changes, or new feature rollouts
Ongoing Account Management
- Update existing client GHL accounts with requested new features, workflow additions, or product improvements
- Handle inbound bug tickets related to GHL: reproduce issues, open support cases, track resolution, and communicate status
- Manage snapshot imports and exports for account setup, client migrations, and template management
- Manage account transfers and migrations in and out of GHL while ensuring data integrity
- Manage phone number ports in and out by initiating requests, monitoring status, troubleshooting rejections, and keeping clients informed
Collaboration and Handoffs
- Coordinate closely with the website build team on new client launches
- Communicate clearly on status, blockers, and scope changes
What We're Looking For
Required
- Hands-on GHL experience — you've built and configured sub-accounts from scratch, not just navigated the front end
- A2P / 10DLC compliance experience — you've registered brands and campaigns and dealt with carrier rejections
- Strong troubleshooting instincts — when something breaks in GHL, you isolate the problem before escalating
- Meticulous attention to detail — you catch your own mistakes before anyone else does
- SOP discipline — you work systematically and flag wrong or missing steps instead of working around them
- Clear written English — your documentation and status updates are specific enough for teammates to act on
Nice to Have
- Experience with GHL's API, webhooks, or custom integrations
- Familiarity with Webflow
- Background working with fitness businesses, gym software, or boutique fitness operators
- Experience with PushPress or similar gym management platforms
Success in the First 6 Months
- You've owned end-to-end CRM setup for new clients with zero rework flagged in QA
- A2P registrations are submitted accurately and approved without rejections caused by process errors
- You've identified at least one SOP gap or outdated step and gotten it updated
- The team treats you as the GHL authority
- You can complete a standard CRM setup within the expected time window consistently
Why Join PushPress
- Fully remote, async-friendly team
- Established systems with clear SOPs and structured workflows
- Visible impact on client launches and team efficiency
- Above-market compensation with contractor structure
- AI-native operation with automation and tooling at the core
- Room to grow toward automation strategy, tooling improvements, and senior ownership
