The Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analytics Manager to lead data-driven decision-making at Cinch. You will analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and turn them into strategic insights that improve business performance.

You will design and implement data models, build dashboards, and partner with cross-functional teams and leadership. The role involves advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization using SQL (Python is a strong plus), as well as extensive hands-on experience with BI tools. You should be an expert in dimensional modeling, including fact tables, dimension tables, and star schemas.

This is a team lead and individual contributor role. You will manage a team of data analysts, mentor and coach them, and review their work for correctness and integrity before it reaches the business.

You are also expected to be AI-literate and comfortable working with both Claude Desktop and Claude Code. We expect responsible AI use, and the correctness of all submitted work remains the analyst's responsibility.

Responsibilities

Analysis & Insights

Understand business requirements and plan solutions to meet data needs
Conduct advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling to surface trends and opportunities
Drill down into data and prepare reports with the highest level of accuracy
Define new KPIs and measure them consistently across datasets
Own and evolve the company-wide KPI framework across departments, ensuring metric definitions stay consistent and trusted

Data Modeling & Preparation

Design and maintain dimensional data models (fact tables, dimension tables, star schemas)
Collect data from multiple sources, then normalize, refine, and prepare it for analytics and visualization
Partner with IT and business teams to establish data-driven policies and strategies across the organization
Build and maintain data models in SQLMesh, including Jinja-templated SQL macros, following agreed modeling standards.

Dashboards & Reporting

Design, build, test, and publish dashboards and reports on our BI platform (Apache Superset, Looker), and schedule refreshes
Create wireframes and beta dashboards with a focus on user experience, correctness, and visibility.y
Monitor reports and dashboards, and make changes as needed
Resolve data and performance issues in workbooks and data sources
Maintain executive-level dashboards that consolidate key metrics across departments for leadership
Automate recurring report delivery using workflow tools such as n8n

Platform & Governance

Manage BI platform implementation, architecture, and administration
Define access controls and implement security measures where required
Actively manage platform performance and usability
Improve processes across data management, data collection, dashboard design, and the wider product lifecycle

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of data analysts
Review the team's work for correctness, accuracy, and integrity
Set standards for analysis quality, documentation, and responsible AI usage

Qualifications

Must-haves

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
6–8 years of experience in data analytics, including at least 2 years leading or mentoring analysts
Advanced SQL for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling
Expert knowledge of dimensional modeling (fact tables, dimension tables, star schemas)
Extensive experience building and managing dashboards and reports in BI tools such as Apache Superset, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik
Strong knowledge of data architecture, data mapping, data analysis, and data visualization
Ability to manipulate and blend data from multiple sources to design dashboards and visualizations
Working proficiency with AI tools, including Claude Desktop and Claude Code, and sound judgment on responsible use

Nice-to-haves

Experience in fintech, e-commerce, or subscription businesses
Experience with cloud data warehouses and modern data stack tools
Experience defining data access controls and governance in a BI environment
Experience with SQLMesh, dbt, or similar data transformation tools
Experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n
Strong plus: Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and automation
